Three Viennese classics come together in this LNSO concert programme. Haydn’s Symphony no. 69, also known as Laudon, is named after Austrian general Ernst Gideon von Laudon, whose roots can interestingly be traced back to Latgale, Latvia.

The exhibition “Light of Time” takes place in the spirit of the artist’s seventieth anniversary.

The exhibition is dominated by large-format works that reflect the experience of place and light. Works from earlier periods of his creative work are also on display.

Light of Time is a story about painting as a journey. Viewers are offered impressions, starting from the landscapes of Jūrmala to Paris, Venice, Cape Town and New York.

In a separate hall, Roze Stiebra’s animated film “The Law of the Heart” (film studio “Lokomotīve”, 2024), based on the work “The New Law” by novelist Jānis Ezeriņš, is being screened.

Exhibition at the Jūrmala Museum -  from May 21 to June 29, 2025.

The exhibition at the Jurmala Cultural Center features specially created photographs taken at the end of 2024, when photographer Philippe Margeau visited Latvia.

The project "Baltic Notes" - "Carnets Baltique" is a journey by photographer Philippe Margeau around the Baltic Sea.

It is a journey through eight countries: Finland, Poland, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Denmark, Sweden and their islands. Photographer Philippe Margeau has always been attracted by these Northern European countries.

The project "Baltic Notes" began in 2016, and it is planned to continue for a few more years. To do this, in June 2018, F. Margeau moved from Paris to Gdańsk in Poland, in order to immerse himself in the Baltic climate on a daily basis, get to know it, understand and feel its atmosphere, explore its coast and get to know its inhabitants. He has created a kind of "base camp" in Gdańsk to be able to travel (or return) to other Baltic countries. None of this would have been possible if the artist had stayed in France.

The eleventh electric car competition "Ignitis ON: Discover the Baltic Coast!" will take place for the first time in all three Baltic states. The start will be in Palanga, the end in Pärnu, but one of the stops will be in Jurmala, Kauguri Park on June 6 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
60 teams are participating in the competition. For the first time, electric concrete mixers will participate in the competition.

The competition tests not only the capabilities of electric cars, but also tests the public charging infrastructure throughout the Baltics.
Jurmala will be one of the competition stops. In Kauguri Park, visitors to the event will be able to see the latest electric car models, including such innovative and unique vehicles as electric concrete mixers.
Visitors will also be able to participate in interactive activities.

On 20 June, a solstice celebration will take place on the banks of the Lielupe River (Ezeru Street swimming area).

The exhibition dedicated to Džemma Skulme’s 100th anniversary reveals the ability of a creative personality to continuously change, preserving its identity and inspiring through generations.

The small exhibition “Džemma Skulme. A Look in the Mirror” set up in the Museum’s Fireplace Hall is a tribute to the artist and a dedication to her centenary.

In the museum’s second-floor hall, an ambitious contemporary art exhibition, Magnetism flows through like a vibrating invisible magnetic thread, creating an interplay between works of art, historical objects, life stories, mysterious abilities and an atmosphere saturated with summer dreams.
