What makes Jūrmala an exceptional destination for cyclists? First and foremost, it's the fresh air, a gift from the unspoiled natural surroundings. The gentle seaside climate, combined with the pine forests rich in phytoncides, creates an ideal environment for cycling, making it not only enjoyable but also particularly beneficial to health. Secondly, the city's historic neighborhoods, each with its own unique story, unfold as you wind through the streets and lanes, exploring the facades of historic buildings. Thirdly, the picturesque coastal scenery lends an unforgettable charm to cycling in Jūrmala.
Just as there is no need to reinvent the bicycle, there is no need to discover new routes. We offer well-maintained, carefully planned, scenic day trips filled with cultural highlights. Most routes are circular and can be interconnected for those who desire and have the energy for longer rides. Also, keep in mind that the city, stretching 20 kilometers along the bay, offers excellent opportunities for coastal cycling (take a look at the Beach Guide). - Route Riga – Priedaine – Bulduri (20 km) Vanšu Bridge → Raņķa Dam → Nameja Quay → Durbes Street → Kuldīgas Street → Slokas Street → Jūrmala Avenue → Imantas 2nd Line → “Jūrmala - Riga” Cycle Path → Babītes Street → Pērkona Street → Viestura Street → Vienības Avenue.
