“Rally Road Racers”. The film tells the inspiring story of a slow-moving mammal with a need for speed. To save his grandmother's home from demolition, young Zhi wages a bet with Vainglorious, the reigning champion of the rally car circuit. With help from a former racing champion, Zhi enters the four-day Silk Road Rally in hopes of winning the cup and living out his racing dreams. The first feature film based on the globally beloved Miraculous franchise, Miraculous: Ladybug & Cat Noir, The Movie follows ordinary teenager Marinette whose life in Paris goes superhuman when she becomes Ladybug. Bestowed with magical powers of creation, Ladybug must unite with her opposite, Cat Noir, to save Paris as a new villain unleashes chaos unto the city.  The movie is dubbed in Latvian and Russian with subtitles in Latvian. “The Secret Kingdom”. Peter moves with his younger sister Verity and parents into a grand new home. Upon their arrival Verity beckons him to explore the village, where they discover a mysterious artefact. That night the youngsters are drawn into a bizarre and fantastical world that exists beneath our own, where they are captured by a horde of pangolins. Driven by prophecy and myth, this world sees Peter as its king and saviour, leading the troubled youngster on a perilous quest through this strange new world. “A Haunting in Venice”. “A Haunting in Venice” is a terrifying mystery featuring the return of the celebrated sleuth, Hercule Poirot. Now retired and living in self-imposed exile in the world’s most glamorous city, Poirot reluctantly attends a séance at a decaying, haunted palazzo. When one of the guests is murdered, the detective is thrust into a sinister world of shadows and secrets. The unsettling supernatural thriller based upon the novel “Hallowe’en Party” by Agatha Christie. The movie is in English with subtitles in Latvian and Russian. Start at 18.20.

“The Equalizer 3”. Since giving up his life as a government assassin, Robert McCall has struggled to reconcile the horrific things he’s done in the past and finds a strange solace in serving justice on behalf of the oppressed. Finding himself surprisingly at home in Southern Italy, he discovers his new friends are under the control of local crime bosses. As events turn deadly, McCall knows what he has to do: become his friends’ protector by taking on the mafia.  The movie is in English with subtitles in Latvian and Russian. Start at 19.15.

Every Sunday at 12.00 from Jūrmala Tourist Information Center (Lienes iela 5, Majori) there is an opportunity to join an excursion around the center of Jurmala. The duration of the walking tour is approx. 1.5 hours, during which the participants will learn about the history of the resort town, see the most striking architectural monuments, and learn the secrets of Jomas Street. No prior application is required. The language of the excursion depends on the composition of the group (Latvian, English or Russian). The tour takes place if at least 4 people have arrived. Baibas Osīte's personal exhibition "Exodus" is a part of the 7th Riga International Textile and Fiber Art Triennale QUO VADIS?, 16.06. - 17.09.2023, satellite event, as well as one of the exhibitions in the 4th international sea-themed art biennial "Marina 2023"   07.07. - 03.09.2023.

The mark of recognition of Baibas Osīte is the paintings made of pieces of wood washed out of the sea - landscape and abstract, both archaic and modern ecological. The personal exhibition "Exodus" was created in a similar synthesis - the historical and the philosophically abstract are together, just like the experienced, felt and imagined. The form of Baibas Osīte's works is structured by repetition. They are elements that line up or crowd one another like a purposeful stream of thoughts: each one is shaped, colored or polished a little differently. The exhibition features new works in felting and silk printing techniques, experimental objects, as well as stick classics and miniatures exhibited for the first time in Latvia, which combine ready-made and embroidery.

Baibas Osīte's personal exhibition "Exodus" takes place in the exhibition program of the Art Station "Dubulti" from June 15 to September 17 with the financial support of the Jūrmala City Council and the State Culture Capital Fund. The unique wooden architecture has made Jurmala one of the richest cities in Latvia in terms of cultural and historical heritage. The historical building amazes again and again with nuanced wood carving details that have not lost their charm over the centuries.

Outdoor stands will provide information about the details of traditional wooden architecture in Jūrmala in Latvian and English.

Valdis Bušs (1924 - 2014), while living in Jūrmala, painted many landscapes of the immediate surroundings. Lielupe, boat piers, yacht regattas, sunset in the bend of the river, snow-covered houses, slender pine trees - these are just some of the scenes depicted in the artist's paintings. In the paintings of Valdis Bušs, we feel both the heat of hot summer and the spelunking of winter, and enjoy a magnificent sunset on the banks of Lielupe.
Painting was a way of life and a necessity for Valdis Bušs. The artist devoted every free moment to his great love - painting. During his long creative life, countless paintings and nature studies were created. Every day, the artist went to paint the landscapes of the immediate surroundings and was waiting for a vacation when he could devote himself only to painting. Not all works are given names, but sometimes a street corner, a characteristic river bay, a boat dock helps to recognize the depicted landscape.
