A magical winter morning in Ķemeri bog with bog/snow shoes | purvubrideji.lv

On December 7, an early morning hike will take place in the Ķemeri Bog, offering a chance to experience the sunrise, mist, frost, and winter scenery. The circular route is 4.5–6 km long, takes about three hours (including rest and photo breaks), and is rated as easy. The meeting point is the Krāču Kalni parking area near the Ķemeri Bog peat fields at 07:00, with the hike finishing around 10:00.

Participation fee: €30 for adults, €10 for children (ages 7–17). The price includes bog shoe rental, route preparation, and guidance by experienced “Purvu bridēji” guides.

Participants should wear waterproof hiking boots or rubber boots and bring snacks, a warm drink, and a change of clothes. The hike takes place in all weather conditions.

Transport from Riga is available by “Purvu bridēji” minibus (€10 round trip).
