Ilona Bagele. Folk songs in a jazz mood | Dzintari Concert Hall

Ilona Bagele and friends invite you to the concert program “Folk Songs in a Jazz Mood”.

The concert program will feature melodies from various nations in jazz interpretations. The author and performer of the program idea is the soloist of the Latvian National Opera Ilona Bagele, whose voice and interpretation power connect the worlds of academic music, jazz and folk songs.

The concert will also feature arrangements of Ukrainian, Irish, Portuguese and Italian melodies by pianist and composer Madars Kalniņš, as well as Latgalian folk songs.

Together with Ilona Bagele, Latvian musicians will perform:

• cellist Inga Ozola,
• pianist Madars Kalniņš,
• bassist Andris Grunte
• percussionist Artis Orubs.
