A decision is made to organise the first Latvian singing festival in just half a year, which would unite the Latvian people and strengthen the sense of community, as well as improve the society's not-so-bright financial situation. But not everyone in the RLB leadership is prepared to sacrifice themselves to make this possible.

On 18 November, the 106th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Latvia, Baltic Beach Hotel & SPA invites everyone to a special celebration honouring the Latvian state and its people. A musical meeting and conversation about the life and work of Ludwig van Beethoven with pianist Andrejs Osokins and a screening of the film “Immortal Beloved” (1994). The Immortal Beloved is a 1994 biographical film written and directed by Bernard Rose, starring Gary Oldman, Jeroen Krabbé, Isabella Rossellini and Johanna ter Steege. The film tells about the life and death of the legendary Ludwig van Beethoven. Along with the music that Beethoven created, the composer once wrote a famous love letter to an unknown “beloved”, the film tries to find out who this mysterious woman was.

The event is suitable for high school students and adults.

The duration of the event is 2 hours 30 minutes.

The film will be shown in English with subtitles in Latvian.

Through the evocative music of Mendelssohn, we will journey into the enchanting world of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The piece will be complemented by the Cello Concerto from Arturs Maskats, inspired by the great English poet’s sonnets and featuring soloist Kristaps Bergs, who also performed at the work’s premiere in 2022. The concert concludes with Mendelssohn’s Third Symphony, inspired by his travels through the landscapes of Scotland.

The exhibition at the Art Station "Dubulti" marks the long relationship of the photographer Lars Tūnbjerk with Latvia. Latvian Museum of Photography in Riga presented his personal exhibition already in 1997. Lars Tūnbjörks visited Latvia several times and became friends with Latvian colleagues, including Inta Rukas and Andrejs Grants. Lars Thunbjörk visited both the cities and the countryside.

The exhibition has three parts: Latvia (1996), I love Borås! (1988–1995) and The Office (1994–1999). Viewed together, these three series of photographs - all from roughly the same era - reflect Lars Thünbjörk's unique style of photography and emphasize the emotional impact of his images.

The curators of the exhibition are Inga Šteimane, Love Jonsons and Moda Nikandere.

Dubulti Art Station is the only professional exhibition hall in Europe located in a functioning railway station. It has been operating since 2015 and gives a new dimension to the 20th century. For a modernist architectural building of the 1970s. Art station Dubulti creates personal exhibitions of the best Latvian artists and international projects, emphasizing the dialogue between the work of art and the viewer. Art scientist Inga Šteimane is the founder and manager of Dubulti art station.

An opportunity to go on a snowshoe hike with the “Purvu bridējiem” to enjoy a winter Sunday morning and sunrise in the Great Ķemeri moor.

This will be a great opportunity to actively end the year, get to know snowshoeing, receive countless tips and spend the morning walking along animal trails, roads and off-road paths. Bring: a flashlight, snacks and a warming drink, waterproof shoes. The hike will take place in any weather conditions, with or without snow.

On Sunday morning at 07:30, meet at the parking lot in the Krāči Mountains. The hike will last ~3 hours (including rest and photo breaks).

The route is circular.

The exhibition at the Art Station "Dubulti" marks the long relationship of the photographer Lars Tūnbjerk with Latvia. Latvian Museum of Photography in Riga presented his personal exhibition already in 1997. Lars Tūnbjörks visited Latvia several times and became friends with Latvian colleagues, including Inta Rukas and Andrejs Grants. Lars Thunbjörk visited both the cities and the countryside.

The exhibition has three parts: Latvia (1996), I love Borås! (1988–1995) and The Office (1994–1999). Viewed together, these three series of photographs - all from roughly the same era - reflect Lars Thünbjörk's unique style of photography and emphasize the emotional impact of his images.

The curators of the exhibition are Inga Šteimane, Love Jonsons and Moda Nikandere.

Dubulti Art Station is the only professional exhibition hall in Europe located in a functioning railway station. It has been operating since 2015 and gives a new dimension to the 20th century. For a modernist architectural building of the 1970s. Art station Dubulti creates personal exhibitions of the best Latvian artists and international projects, emphasizing the dialogue between the work of art and the viewer. Art scientist Inga Šteimane is the founder and manager of Dubulti art station.
