Sling suspension therapy
Also referred to as sling exercise therapy, sling suspension therapy is a modern physiotherapeutic technique, during which the patient is suspended in special unit, flexible slings to perform a variety of stretching exercises under the control of a physiotherapist, which result strengthened deep muscles, stabilised spine and body. This is an excellent method for the treatment of back pain, including scoliosis, posture disorders. Sling suspension therapy as a particularly valuable method is recommended for the treatment of disc hernias, spondylosis, reduction of muscle tension, prevention of various musculoskeletal disorders, while preventively this is a good muscle strength workout, which helps to strengthen the deep muscles. In addition, sling suspension therapy also serves as a diagnostic system that helps a physiotherapist assess the patient’s muscular endurance.
