Kauguri Festival | Kauguri

On 29 August, Kauguri will become a vibrant festival district for the entire day, bringing together dance, street art, circus, sport, creative activities and live music. The programme will unfold across Tallinas Street and the surrounding area, Kauguri Park and Kaugurciems Beach.

The festival will open at 12.00 with the Kauguri Grand Dance, bringing together 900 dancers, followed by the “Jūras bize” folk dance festival. Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy activities for families, performances on the Movement Stage, the “Wonder Square” with circus and acrobatics, the Jūrmala Talent Stage, a 3x3 basketball championship, the “LoudJurmala” car exhibition, a festival market and more.

The evening programme will feature Latvian actor and singer Maksims Busels with his band, Lithuanian singer-songwriter Daddy Was a Milkman, Latvian pop band “Mazais princis” and award-winning Latvian hip-hop artist Fiņķis. At 22.50, the festival will culminate in a multimedia light show with DAGAMBA, a Latvian crossover ensemble blending classical music with rock, pop and world-music influences.
