The exhibition “Isildur’s Curse” by artist and illustrator Roberts Rūrāns is a series of works inspired by the world of J. R. R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings.

The exhibition explores the inner human conflict between good and evil, choices, weaknesses and the significance of kindness. Motifs from Tolkien’s Middle-earth are combined with symbolic and philosophical imagery. Roberts Rūrāns works in acrylic and also incorporates influences from the aesthetics of medieval Christian art.
