The concert programme has been created by the talents of the young generation of Latvian jazz - jazz singer Santa Šillere, guitarist Jānis Pastars and contrabsist Jānis Rubiks, bringing together the most beautiful jazz tunes of all time, the original compositions themselves, and the musical pearls of Latvian composers.

On February 18, a DJ with more than 25 years of experience in the entertainment industry – DJ Gustavito – will take the stage at the Baltic Beach Hotel & SPA Club Night.

We will welcome the party guests with a welcome drink, but the presence of the charming go-go girls will add a special cherry to the evening.

During his career, DJ Gustavito has performed in at least 40 US states, Russia, Thailand, Spain, Finland, France, Great Britain, Malta, Norway, Germany and the Baltic States. • Telman Guzhevsky is an internationally recognized tenor and actor, a student of Maestro Carlo Bergonzi (Italy), the great tenor of the 20th century. The soundtrack with his voice in Joe Wright’s film “Anna Karenina” was nominated for an Oscar and received the Ivor Novello Award (2013). A fellow of  Trinity College of Music and Guildhall College of Music and Drama of London, he debuted  in 2006 in the opera La Bohème at London’s Royal Albert Hall. He is active not only in opera and music worldwide, but also in Hollywood films, both singing and acting. In the recent film Paris Song by Cary Granat (Scream) he sang for the three great tenors of the past – Leonid Sobinov, George Thill and Giovanni Martinelli. In 2014 he performed a solo concert at the Medals Plaza at the Sochi Olympics, which was broadcast in 40 countries.
• José Luis Corvizon Rojas is a musician and composer who represents the Spanish school of classical guitar playing. José collaborates and performs with various collectives in Europe and Latin American countries. José composes and arranges songs and instrumental pieces for the guitar.
• Oleg Zhukov is serving as an accompanist and repetiteur of the Latvian National Opera for more than 30 years. He has performed in Germany and Italy, accompanying some of the world’s leading opera soloists. Oleg also works as a pedagogue, performs in concerts in Latvia and abroad, specializing in vocal and instrumental chamber music genres.

The concert program will be made up of the joint project “Space Big Band” created by two internationally recognized musicians – Latvian saxophonist Toms Rudzinskis and Danish double bassist Kenneth Dahl Knudsen. The project consists of original compositions for a modern big band. The central theme is the universe and our knowledge of it – from Galileo’s discoveries and Stephen Hawking’s space-time research to SpaceX Mars flights, and the universe and space in music to explore the technical, improvisational and collaborative spirit of modern jazz.

Toms Rudzinskis is one of the leading Baltic jazz saxophonists and composers, especially recognized for his innovative and unique sound. At the moment, the musician is based in Berlin, where he leads his quintet “ABYSS”, plays in various international bands, and regularly organizes popular jazz concerts and jam sessions in Riga.

Kenneth Dahl Knudsen is an internationally recognized and award-winning Danish double bass player and composer, who has released five albums since 2010 and regularly performs worldwide. In the “Space Big Band” project, Kenneth Dahl Knudsen’s compositions focus on complex rhythm and polyrhythmic experiments, while Tom Rudzinskis vividly demonstrates his talent as a melodist.

Continuing the tradition, an event will be held in the spring of 2023 - SPRING GARDEN AND PLANT FESTIVAL! 29.04.2023 at 9:00-16:00 in Bulduri, in the park of Bulduri Technical School (Bulduri Horticultural High School), Viestura street 6, Jūrmala.

• Market of plant growers and Latvian home producers with more than 150 traders;
• Entertainment for adults and children;
• Advice from gardeners on the work to be done in the gardens in spring;
• The doors of the Bulduri technical school will be open to all interested parties – get to know Bulduri even closer!
• During the entire event, it will be possible to buy a variety of products from artisans, farmers and experts in various trades at the park market.

During the holidays, there will be an opportunity to participate in demonstrations, in which Bulduri Technical School instructors will advise on work to be done in the garden in the spring, growing and caring for plants - planting and caring for fruit trees, berry trees, caring for roses and decorative bushes. Finger dexterity in the floristry workshop for the smallest visitors.

The renovated Ķemeri Water Tower offers exhibitions on the twists and turns of the history of the Ķemeri resort, as well as the life stories of prominent personalities. Beautiful views of the Ķemeri vicinity can be enjoyed from two viewing platforms at a height of 12 and 42 m. Ķemeri Water Tower is a part of Latvia’s industrial and historical heritage, it was built in 1929 and completely renovated in 2020. After the reconstruction, the tower continues to serve as a water supply, while also serving as a visitor attraction.

The water tower is located in the territory of the historical Ķemeri resort park, which was renovated in 2021. Visitors can see the old architecture of the park, the beautiful greenery, and the sulphur water pavilion. A new, modern children’s playground has been set up in the area. Every Saturday and Sunday, Ķemeri park offers guided tours in several languages.

Ilze Laizāne obtained a master's degree in both painting (2011) and graphics (2014) at the Latvian Academy of Arts. She has been a member of the Artists' Union of Latvia since 2018 and a member of the Jūrmala Artists' Association since 2016.

Since 2011, the artist has held more than 16 solo exhibitions in Latvia and one solo exhibition in France, Kabūra. Over ten years there have been more than 40 exhibitions, symposia and art projects.

The artist is actively involved in creative processes both in Latvia and beyond its borders - in Italy, Belgium, Austria, Lithuania, Germany, France, Belarus and elsewhere.

Figurative painting has played a major role in Ilze Laizāne's works, she herself admits that the human figure has always appealed to show the beauty of body shapes. The works show that the figure's expression and gestures are depicted with anatomical precision.

"Large format is important to me, so that I can paint people in life size," explains the artist and adds: "I use a lot of color combinations in my work, I like to experiment with color contrasts."

It gives the expected result because the paintings attract the eye and are bright. The artist's favorite color is red in various shades and shades: "I like bright colors, maybe because I am energetic inside, and I try to express that in my works."

The transition from the gray shades of winter to bright colors, waiting for summer, in the Jūrmala Culture Center will be rapid, thanks to the artist's joy of life and energy, which can also be felt in her works.
