29 November, 12.00–18.00, Majori will mark the festive beginning of the Christmas season – a Christmas market will take place at the Majori parking area, while on Jomas Street from 13.00 to 15.00 everyone is invited to join in decorating Christmas trees. From 16.00, next to the Majori parking area, the Jūrmala Theatre will present its performance “How the Elves Conjured Christmas”, and at 16.15 the Christmas tree lighting ceremony will take place alongside the opening of the “Christmas Tree Promenade”, which will remain on view until 11 January 2026. From 16.15 to 17.15, the festive atmosphere will be shaped by DJ da Bass and trumpet player Normunds Piesis, while from 16.00 to 18.00, visitors are welcome to enjoy the photo booth “Elves from Planet X”, the Christmas ornament workshop, and board games.

The event will be photographed and filmed, and the materials may be used for publicity purposes.
